Madrid, an artistic city well known for its passionate and cultural activities and the spot which Marius and I were on our way to for a two week holiday, but instead of booking into one of the local hotels, we opted for an apartment in Madrid instead.

Princesa Alta

When we booked the apartment, we were told it would be something small in size, but it was everything but small! Mount Wuyi, widely considered to be one of the most beautiful spots in China, stands south of Wuyishan, a city in Fujian province. The mountain’s slopes are covered by a vast subtropical forest and dotted with a number of important archaeological sites. Because of its natural beauty and its historical significance, Mount Wuyi was made a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1999.

The site is filled with important relics and Neo-Confucian temples. Numerous studies on the effects of Confucius’s philosophies on Chinese culture have been based on the temples on Mount Wuyi. There are also a number of ruined Taoist temples and a once-magnificent palace.

Which vaccinations will be required will depend on your travel destination, the length of your stay, and whether or not you have already been inoculated against particular diseases. Consult a physician or travel medicine clinic at least four to six weeks before your departure in order to allow the recommended time for vaccinations to be effective. This is especially important for those whose travel destinations include tropical areas or developing countries. Immunizations against diseases such as hepatitis, typhoid, and cholera, as well as drugs that protect you against malaria are vital to your health. Here is some travel vaccination advice obtained from the Public Health Agency of Canada.
